The Studio

Since 2022 WOMADelaide has collaborated with Adelaide Botanic High School to transform the School Gym into a versatile indoor theatre space for a range of performances. The Studio, as it’s now known, offers a completely different environment from the open space of the park.

In previous years it has held: 

• Silence, WOMADelaide 2022
• Omar Rajeh | Maqamat – Beytna - WOMADelaide 2024
• Compagnie On Off - Le Chant de L'eau - WOMADelaide 2024

The Studio is located on the ground floor – adjacent the Frome Park Pavilion – under the Upper Plaza where the Taste The World sessions are presented. 

Supporting the WOMADelaide Front of House team, ABHS students are on site to direct patrons into the space and  for Taste the World on the Upper Plaza, ushering them to seating as required.

The Studio – as a theatre space is somewhat different to the open space of the park – so a few things be aware of. 

As a theatre space – the artists / productions are presented with a format having a defined start and end time of each performance so we ask that patrons. 

• As capacity is limited, please arrive 10 minutes before performances begin to avoid disturbing the performance and other patrons - Latecomers cannot be admitted.
  
  
• When making your way to seating, take direction from the Front of House team who are there to usher you to your seat / place to sit.
  
  
• Take note of performance durations before entering as some may have a lock out/in – with latecomers unable to be admitted. 
  
  
• Wheelchair accessible seating is available.
