From Adelaide/Tarndanya, Ms Chipeta is a Malawian Australian singer-songwriter musing on matters of the heart. Leaning into softness and femininity, her music is a space for self-exploration, with candid lyrics and honeyed vocals bringing a blend of R‘n’B, pop and indie. Her first single How Does It Feel? highlights the universal themes and romantic appeal of her songwriting. Ms Chipeta was one of six resident artists in the Interplay program at Nexus Arts in 2024. After making her debut festival performance the same year at Space Jams, Ms Chipeta, along with her four-piece band, is ready to take her feel-good and sentimental music to a broader audience.
