Beginning in the 1980s as a way to share important messages to community around health and education, UPK is a multi-generational music project based in the APY lands. UPK has created and released seven albums of original songs in Pitjantjatjara and Yankunytjatjara language. The UPK Allstars is a collection of the artists who have featured on these albums and for the first time they will perform songs from the project’s catalogue. This incredibly special performance will also feature a string quartet and give audiences the opportunity to hear music in language from some of the world's oldest voices. UPK music is about recognising the factors that contribute to the wellbeing of every person and is intentional about using the broadcasting arts and sciences to aid the processes of social change.
