Raised in Singapore, she infuses her work with deep cultural understanding and technical precision. Somi's dance journey began at age five, and exponentially soared after her solo debut at 15. Performing extensively at international festivals and representing Indian culture through dance she continued dance in parallel to her professional career in healthcare and community development. Now based in Australia, she leads Apsaras Arts Adelaide, one of five global branches, where she transforms classical traditions for a new generation of dancers.
